Dementia Spotlight Foundation is launching an exciting fundraising campaign. Do you have a favorite song? One that reminds you of your loved one, or one that has been special to you during your caregiving experience? Choose a song that is meaningful to you and/or your loved one, and if your campaign is one of the top three fundraisers; your song will be recorded and performed live at the Alzheimer’s Music Fest in Woodstock, Georgia on World Alzheimer’s Day, Sept. 21, 2019.

Getting started is fun and easy to do. We have all the tools in place for your campaign to become a success. By getting family and friends involved, you’ll be helping spread awareness and raise money for Free Respite Care for our dementia families in need.

Please help the Dementia Spotlight Foundation continue to provide relief for hundreds of families as these families care for their loved ones. With your help, we will make this happen.

Our foundation’s mission is to provide free respite care and outstanding dementia education to as many as we can reach. We are also working to make the state of Georgia dementia friendly.

Dementia Spotlight believes strongly in the power of music especially when it comes to dementia care. We know music has the power to evoke emotions in all of us. People tend to associate music with memories and moments in time. This process does not end when a person has dementia. In fact, research has shown that key brain areas linked to musical memory are relatively undamaged by dementia diseases, such as Alzheimer’s.

Not only will music help retrieve countless memories and moments from the past, it has an advantageous effect on several symptoms, including raw emotions and behavior issues. It also a fantastic way too connect with your loved ones.

Our Alzheimer’s Music Fest has sold out over the past years and is right around the corner. Even if you can’t be there in person, you can help raise money for the cause from anywhere in the world!

Have fun with this and take pleasure in knowing that you’re helping dementia caring families receive vital free respite care.
